Simple, Modern, Baby Shower Cupcakes

I was looking around online for some uber cute cupcakes for a baby shower that a friend is throwing soon - you know, just to get some ideas - & here are some that fit the bill.

So my hubbie & I are expecting our 3rd baby this December & we wanted to come up with a fun way to surprise our family about the babies gender. So before my ultrasound on the big day, I made up a batch of cupcakes & dyed half pink & half blue.

Yep, blue! We're expecting our third boy! Whew, I'm way out numbered, going to have my hands full, & I'm gonna love every minute of it! I can't wait.

Jungle Animal Baby Shower Cake

This is a 2 part baby shower cake that I made for a young mom who wanted a jungle themed baby shower.


She wanted a baby top with jungle animals on sides. It's half chocolate cake - half vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing.


I, just for the record, I did not make the fondant pieces you see here. I ordered them from a fellow Etsian, who does a great job BTW!
